Interim Music Director
Risa joined the West Vancouver United Church team in 2026 as Interim Music Minister alongside Kiyomi. She has been singing at the church since 2006 and has always loved how much music shapes and enriches this community. Risa is deeply grateful to former Music Minister Gerald van Wyck for his mentorship and is excited to explore what they can offer together as he continues in his role as organist and pianist.
Risa studies Indigenous Hawaiian culture, including Hawaiian music, hula, language, and history. She is looking forward to meeting more congregation members through this position.
