For those willing to experience Advent in a more sobering way this year, we'll be diving into Munther Isaac's Christ in the Rubble. The cover of the book is from Isaac's church in Bethlehem who chose to illustrate Christ buried under rubble to decry the war in Gaza.
We will be meeting twice in early December - once to discuss the book in its entirety, and once to listen to Shadia Qubti, a Palestinian lived theologian from Nazareth who has spent 15 years working in peacebuilding and advocacy.
