Late Summer Worship at WVUC

If the past number of months have taught us anything, it’s that we need to be flexible and ready to change so that we might continue to care for our community! In these late summer days, we need to update, once again, what you need to know if you would like to attend in-person worship in our sanctuary.

Further to the latest Public Health orders and guidelines from the Pacific Mountain Regional Council of the United Church of Canada:

  • If you are well, simply show up. If you are feeling unwell or have cold or flu-like symptoms please remain home.
  • Masks are to be worn at all times by everyone 12+ years old. This includes while singing. A face shield is not a substitute for a mask.
  • Sanitizing or washing your hands is encouraged.

We’re still working on how to best safely restart Nursery and Sunday Club. More information will be available on this soon and, in the meantime, children and teens continue to be welcome to worship with their families.

As a way to continue to care for others, please be respectful of the cautions others are exercising. Also, please keep in mind that, in order to ensure good ventilation of our space, the windows and doors will remain open throughout worship. As the weather gets cooler, you may want to dress accordingly. You are encouraged to worship online if you are not fully vaccinated.

As has been our practice for years (long before COVID ever impacted our lives!), we continue to offer online worship each Sunday morning at 10 a.m. at WVUC LIVE and on Facebook.

With continued prayers for you all,
